Folly Point is at the east tip of the East Bay of Port Antonio. The road leads you along the East Harbour and a cricket field to the Folly Great House, now an old mansion in ruins. The story is, that the rich fool who built it around 1900 used sea water to mix the concrete. Most likely, time and the nearby ocean, were the real cause.You have a very nice view of the ocean as well as the Blue Mountains from the open second story of the great house. Reggae concerts are often held at Folly Estate. The Lighthouse at the point nearby is worth visiting, especially on a windy day. The high fountains of seawater gushing up against the cliffs are just breathtaking.
