At the Blue Lagoon you can hire a bamboo raft for a tour at the small beach next to the restaurant. If you love to swim, this for me is the most refreshing and rejuvenating swimming pool in the world and you should not miss it. Just step into the water at the end of the public road and you will have the first sensation. The springs flowing into the lagoon put a cold layer of fresh water on the warm saltwater underneath. Swim to the opposite side of the lagoon from the road and hide out in the water under the overhanging flowertrees, bushes or on the outstreching branches of the almond trees. The view from there is just unbelievably beautiful-as much on a clear and hot sunny day as in the rain under grey skies with silver drops jumping up from the surface.
